Artmob project director Bill Kennedy and research associate David Meurer will be presenting Artmob's software at the Association of Canadian Archivists' Annual Conference in Calgary in May.

International Carnival Conference at York University

July 30 - August 3, 2008

The international conference, "Carnival, 'A People's Art' and Taking Back the Streets", was hosted at York University in Toronto by Artmob Principal Investigator, Professor Christopher Innes. Innes chaired the keynote addresses and the panel on Caribbean Carnival Traditions.

Street Poets & Visionaries: Selections from the UbuWeb Collection

Street Poets & Visionaries: Selections from the UbuWeb Collection will be at Mercer Union from 9 January – 14 February 2009.

UbuWeb founder Kenneth Goldsmith will be giving a talk on Friday 9 January at 7PM at the gallery.

Artmob provides technology support to Goldsmith's UbuWeb project.

bpNichol.ca Online Archive Launches

April 2, 2008

The bpNichol.ca online archive will officially launch after much hard work and dedication. bpNichol.ca is Artmob's first completed archive and focuses on the work of Canadian poet bpNichol and his collaborations with other poets. The archive is being launched and will always remain a work in progress, and it is designed to solicit contributions, criticism, and commentary from bpNichol fans, readers and scholars.
