Dear Frankfurt School...

I witnessed you lead the horse onto floor and then the slaughter. What I don't understand is why you continued to beat it after it was dead for about...oh...40 more pages. Furthermore, this appears to be standard practice amongst all your employees, why?

Regards,
Hilary

Dear Guy Debord...

You make me feel cold and empty inside. Thanks A LOT.

procrastination tangents: pending doom post-doom?

After watching Fortune Hunters on CBC Newsworld, I've (re?)realized the incredible economic power of the Boomer generation. Boomers pour a lot of money into the real abstraction we call the economy, and are a super lucrative demographic, if only for sheer numbers. Just look at the classic rock pop industry, it has managed to revive itself in really big ways that span across different media and other ventures. Classic Rock Radio, magazines, reunion tours, etc.

Removing material off CBC Radio 3

CBC R3's New Music Canada allows bands to upload or send in content to the CBC for potential airtime on one of the R3 stations. Any band that signs up gets there own page with a preset interface to upload content, information, tour dates etc. Bands have the right to remove their material anytime they want. In regards to disputes over copyright issues (say plagerism), there is no mechanism other than emailing CBC webmasters directly.
